Test Equipment Integration Technician / Engineer
We are looking for a Test Equipment Integration Technician / Engineer to be responsible for developing our component test systems to defined requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical, optical and mechanical test engineering principles.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electro/optical test systems, to be housed in a 19inch cabinet.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications and reports.
- Raise and manage the purchase of the required parts.
- System assembly, integration and commissioning of electro-optical test systems.
- Conduct functional, performance and calibration tests to ensure specification compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve test & measurement issues to component level.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Level 4 / 6 qualification in an electrical, electronic, or optical discipline..
- 1 – 3 years experience of system integration.
- Proficient in cabinet assembly, and cable management.
- Diagnose and resolve issues within electro/optical/mechanical test systems.
- Excellent documentation, communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable:
- Electro/optic/mechanical system design.
- Experience in programming in C# or Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
