An established school in Hampstead, London is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the school’s buildings, grounds and wider facilities operation.
This is a key role within the school’s support structure, requiring someone who can coordinate contractors, manage maintenance requirements and ensure that the site consistently meets appropriate safety and operational standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and external suppliers and will be responsible for ensuring that issues are identified and dealt with efficiently.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing planned and reactive maintenance
Coordinating contractors and suppliers
Conducting regular site inspections
Monitoring building conditions
Managing facilities requests
Supporting health and safety procedures
Maintaining accurate records
Coordinating repairs
Monitoring external service providers
Supporting school events and room requirements
Assisting with longer-term estates and facilities projects
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within facilities, estates, property, premises or site management.
Education-sector experience would be beneficial, although candidates with strong facilities experience in other professional environments will also be considered.
The school is looking for someone organised, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard across the site.
Salary will be dependent on experience.
