A well-renowned and high-achieving secondary school in Westminster is seeking a proactive and organised Attendance Officer to join its pastoral and administrative team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in promoting high attendance and supporting pupil progress within a structured and academically focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality across the school
Identifying patterns of absence and implementing early intervention strategies
Liaising with parents and carers regarding attendance concerns
Maintaining accurate attendance records using the school’s MIS system
Producing attendance reports for senior leadership
Supporting safeguarding procedures linked to attendance
Working collaboratively with pastoral teams and external agencies where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience in a school attendance or administrative role
Strong knowledge of attendance procedures and safeguarding requirements
Experience using school MIS systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom)
Excellent organisational and communication skills
The ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and confidently
A proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented approach
