SEN tutor
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and accessible tutoring sessions for learners with SEN (e.g. ADHD, autism, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties, SEMH).
- Assess student needs and design individualised learning plans.
- Use creative strategies and resources to support learning and confidence building.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to parents, carers, or educational professionals.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work flexibly, either in-person or online, depending on the needs of the student.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational or support setting.
- Strong understanding of various learning difficulties and effective support strategies.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. PGCE, QTS, HLTA, SEN Diploma, or equivalent experience).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs.
