Summary

You will gain hands-on experience across both lettings and property management, working alongside an experienced team and gradually taking on greater responsibility as your knowledge develops.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Learning the industry from the ground up
- Office tasks
- Liaising professionally with landlords, tenants, applicants and contractors by telephone, email and in person.
- Registering applicants, arranging appointments and assisting with property viewings.
- Following up enquiries and viewing feedback and helping progress potential tenancies.
- Assisting with the marketing of available properties and keeping property information up to date.
- Supporting the property management team with maintenance enquiries, repairs and contractor appointments.
- Assisting with tenancy administration, compliance documentation, inspections and general property management duties.
- Helping with check-ins, check-outs and property visits where required.
- Managing and organising property keys, including key cutting, labelling and maintaining accurate key records.
- Maintaining accurate records on the company's property management and CRM systems.
- Providing general administrative support and assisting with day-to-day tasks around the office as required.
- Delivering a friendly, professional and efficient level of customer service at all times.

What you'll learn
Course contents- Customer Service: Apply a range of customer service skills in order to provide a professional, accurate, timely, ethical and non-judgemental front line service which meets the needs of a diverse range of customers and stakeholders
- Communication: Demonstrate appropriate communication skills to enable timely identification and/or resolution of issues for customers and appropriate signposting to other colleagues and/or partner agencies.
- Collaborative working: Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to achieve individual, team and business targets.
- Respond to vulnerability: Use skill and judgment to understand the needs of vulnerable individuals and groups(including those with complex needs) and respond appropriately
- Information collection and sharing: Use a variety of methods to identify, collect and communicate technical and other information in a confident and effective manner.
- Influencing and negotiating skills: Influence and negotiate with customers, partners and suppliers.
- Self Management: Organise and plan their own work to ensure tasks are completed and deadlines met.
- Problem Solving: Use a problem solving and flexible approach in their day to day duties.
- Tools and Equipment: Effective use of IT equipment and software, through administration and the appropriate use of work equipment
- Decision making: Effective decision making in order to apply the businesses objectives and priorities.

Overview of the level 3 Housing & Property Management Apprenticeship
Learners undertake a highly flexible, structured development programme to fill gaps in knowledge and skills.
Learners receive support and guidance throughout the programme from our team of property trainers and coaches.
Learners gain an OFQUAL accreditation which is recognised by CIH, Propertymark and The Property Institute for membership purposes.

Online Portal with learning resources (short videos, workbooks, activities, knowledge and skills checks)
Monthly 121 coach contact (2 hours) with an experienced property coach
Functional skills (16-18 Mandatory / 19 + optional at no additional cost)
