This role is based in our London, Strand office

London Tech Week  is the UK’s most influential, and fastest growing, tech event. Our purpose is to showcase and amplify the power of tech to enrich every aspect of our lives. Our content features big-hitting speakers – from the UK Prime Minister to the CEOs of tech giants to visionary innovators. Our expo floor brings tech to life and enables attendees to make connections which deliver lasting value.

The event has grown rapidly in recent years and we have a clear roadmap to continue this into 2025 and beyond. We are looking for a Marketing Director who can support this by creating world-class engaging content.

The portfolio includes brands such as the flagship event London Tech Week, EQL:HER, Elevating Founders, Climate Leaders Forum, AI Leaders Forum and Tech Impact Awards. These brands bring together startups, scaleups, corporates, investors, policymakers, and thought leaders from all over the world to connect, learn, and collaborate.

As Marketing Director, you will be in charge of the marketing strategies across Informa Tech Founders. You will need to love coming up with creative ideas to engage with prospective customers and use data to create successful, insight-led digital campaigns. You will be leading a team and coaching and developing them is vital. You will enjoy collaborating with content teams, sales teams and your marketing peers to create compelling messaging and eye-catching design across all channels.

In this role you will:

  • Set the marketing strategy for London Tech Week and for Informa Tech Founders as a whole, making data-driven decisions to optimise all marketing channels
  • Leadership, development and management of the marketing team with a focus of self-development and development of colleagues
  • Own the data strategy in terms of data collection, storage, management, access, sharing and use of data and improve data integration across platforms
  • Develop a programme of data analytics, liaising with central functions where appropriate, to better understand customer behaviour and preferences
  • Ensure that all collateral is of the highest quality and in keeping with brand values
  • Develop KPIs which measure the success of campaigns and provide leading indicators of business performance
  • Lead the planning and implementation of an integrated customer focused digital marketing strategy for area of responsibility, optimise all digital channels and ROI with team and identify new digital solutions to optimise return
  • Lead the strategic development of partnership marketing plans to meet customer needs and business objectives
  • Develop project plans for efficient use of team and resources and track delivery, resourcing team and agencies accordingly to deliver objectives
  • Control budgets and allocate resources amongst projects

Qualifications

  • Proven experience of leading a B2B events marketing team
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills
  • A self-starter mindset with the confidence to take the initiative
  • Analytical and creative thinking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Up to speed with latest marketing techniques and best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of digital marketing
