Programme Delivery Manager
The opportunity
As Programme Delivery Manager at Shieldpay, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our business strategy through outcome-driven programmes that drive operational excellence and cross-functional alignment. Reporting into the CEO, you will work closely with leadership across the business to embed delivery excellence, resolve interdependencies, and champion data-led transformation.
This is a strategic and connective role, ideal for someone who thrives in translating vision into action, unblocking delivery, and driving continuous improvement across both project and BAU environments.
What you’ll be doing
- Partner with senior leadership to shape and translate business strategy into outcome-driven programmes (Key Initiatives).
- Lead strategic planning and review cycles, ensuring initiatives are aligned with business priorities and underpinned by clear KPIs.
- Develop and maintain business performance dashboards to track progress and inform decision-making.
- Coordinate and lead high-priority programmes, stepping in as programme owner where pace or ownership is critical.
- Resolve interdependencies across leadership teams, ensuring delivery is unblocked and accountability remains aligned.
- Build and embed a Delivery Excellence capability that extends beyond projects into BAU operations.
- Drive improvements in operational execution, predictability, quality, and delivery maturity.
- Establish and scale standards, frameworks, and continuous improvement practices across the business.
- Grow and lead a high-performing team focused on delivery excellence.
- Champion the organisation’s data strategy and support the integration of AI and automation into business operations.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data and AI to streamline workflows, enhance decision-making, and deliver value to internal teams and customers.
What we're looking for in you
- Experience translating business strategy into actionable programmes with measurable outcomes.
- Skilled in coordinating cross-functional initiatives and resolving interdependencies across teams.
- Proficient in developing dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs and inform strategic decisions.
- Familiarity with delivery frameworks and methodologies such as Agile, Lean, or OKRs.
- Proven ability to support and lead change initiatives across both project and BAU environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a collaborative working style.
- Comfortable stepping into ownership roles to drive pace and unblock delivery when needed.
- Understanding of how data, AI, and automation can enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Experience using tools such as Asana, Jira, Miro, Power BI, Excel, or similar platforms.
- Passionate about continuous improvement and embedding delivery excellence across the organisation.
- Curious, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
