Audit Apprenticeship - Nationwide
Audit Higher Apprenticeship
KPMG in the UK is part of a global organisation of independent firms that offers Audit, Consulting, Tax & Law and Technology services. Through the talent of over 16,000 people, we turn insights into opportunities, making a positive difference for businesses, people and communities.
What is Audit at KPMG?
In Audit, we support sustainable business growth by examining organisations and providing a true and fair view of their financial position. Our work helps to build public trust in organisations and the economy. The information that we provide can also help businesses to operate more efficiently and mitigate their financial risk.
Audit Apprenticeship
Some of the world’s biggest companies rely on us for our audit expertise. You’ll find yourself at the heart of these organisations, gaining varied experience on complex engagements. We’ll expect you to play an important role in supporting continuous improvement and audit quality, working with new technologies such as AI to analyse data and produce great work. Alongside your audit work, you’ll study towards a valuable professional accounting qualification, setting you up with the skills and accreditations for a successful career that could lead you to many different pathways and opportunities.
We’ll give you the training and resources you need to thrive with us and reach your full potential, as well as dedicated study leave to help you achieve your qualifications. You’ll work on challenging projects alongside a supportive team, allowing you to grow professionally and handle each new audit engagement with confidence.
Training and Benefits
On this programme, you’ll study towards the AAT Levels 3 and 4, plus the Level 7 ACA professional qualification or CA equivalent in Scotland. These qualifications are fully funded by KPMG and are supported by an extensive programme of internal training spanning both personal and professional development.
We offer an annual salary of £25,500 – £28,000, and a host of great benefits too, including 25 days’ holiday, study leave and a day off on your birthday. What’s more, you can take up to six days of time off to take part in volunteering initiatives.
Our firm’s hybrid working model balances the flexibility of working from home with the importance of collaborating and learning in our offices or at the sites of the organisations we audit. We trust our people to be where they need to be, with our colleagues working together in person as often as needed. You’ll be empowered by the technology that supports us to work flexibly across our collaborative office spaces.
Some travel is likely for audit work, and because its seasonal, you should expect there to be busy times of the year.
Seeing the whole picture
As part of the Audit team, you will be building friendships and shared experiences, innovating, and learning together. KPMG is a place where you can be yourself and give your best - whoever you are and whatever your background. We look at more than just your academic results and will also consider your strengths, values and motivations. If you’re collaborative and good with people, that can be just as important as your ability to pick up key technical skills. See the specific programme page on our Careers Portal for entry requirements and our ‘Applying to KPMG’ section for detailed application guidance.
