Design Studio Placement
- Duration: 3 months, starting November 2026
- Hours: Full-time (Mon to Fri, 9.30 to 5.30) or part-time, at least 2 days a week, agreed around your course requirements.
- Location: Our studio in London N7
- Terms: This is an unpaid placement that forms part of your course. We're happy to complete your university's placement paperwork and can cover travel costs within London.
- How a commercial sewing pattern is developed, from research to finished product
- Pattern cutting techniques, including flat pattern cutting, draping, grading and inclusive sizing
- Luxury garment construction and finishing
- Collection planning, including design research, fabric-to-sketch and styling
- How an independent e-commerce brand operates, plus photoshoot preparation
- Support new design development: research, pattern cutting, sourcing materials and making samples
- Build technical illustrations for sewing instructions in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
- Help create video instructions and social content
- Assist with styling and preparation for shoots
- Support day-to-day studio operations, including order prep and stock tracking in Shopify
- A student enrolled in a fashion-related course that includes a required placement
- Genuine interest in pattern cutting and garment finishing
- Sewing experience, and curiosity to learn the rest
- Some Adobe experience is a plus
- Organised, detail-oriented and happy to ask questions
