Principal Tasks

• Ensure Claims are settled within specific handling times and Clients kept updated with the progress of their Claim

• Managing and promptly resolving all assigned external and internal queries

• Providing support to the team members as and when required.

• Managing own workload, and time, to maximise efficiency.

• Ensuring that deadlines and targets are met.

• Dealing with a claim(s) notification(s).

• Reviewing details in conjunction with instructions and coverage/wording afforded, acknowledge to client/intermediary, prepare claims file accurately and promptly and maintain in-house and external computerised claims records.

• Producing claims information and presenting to insurers, either in written or networked format; and dealing with any resultant instructions, queries and enquiries.

• Monitoring insurers’ agreement and payment of funds ensuring that payment(s) made to the appropriate beneficiary.

• Ensuring relevant insurer’s instructions are notified to Client/expert and vice versa.

• Building meaningful relationships with Clients, experts and insurers by dealing with them in a prompt, friendly and professional manner always.

• Building effective liaison with placing colleagues, including, where required, the maintenance and provision of claims statistics for renewal or similar purposes.

• Building effective liaison with accounting colleagues both in respect of collection/payment of funds, any queries and the subsequent clearance of accounting entries.

• Attending internal/external meetings as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential skills

· Good GCSE/A level grades or relevant degree.

· Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· Strong numeracy skills.

· Strong communication skills and strategic thinker.

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

· A positive, enthusiastic and confident disposition.

· Ability to prioritise and proactively meet deadlines.

· Internal and External Client focused and keen to provide the highest quality of service delivery.

Person Specification:

The right candidate will be a dynamic individual with high standards of professional endeavour, integrity, confidentiality, financial propriety and personal conduct.

The candidate will be expected to behave in a way that upholds and promotes the good name and reputation of Price Forbes and treat as paramount the quality of service provided to our clientele in terms of speed of response, frequency of communication and the timely presentation of documentation.

You will be expected to deal honestly and fairly with fellow employees, customers, and others within the insurance profession and value other team members as colleagues.

Take responsibility for own learning and development is paramount; keep up to date with developments in law and practice relating to own field of expertise; and ensure that all external and internal training obligations and requirements are fulfilled.

  • Our Talent Acquisition team will then arrange a call where they can tell you more about the role and the team. We want to learn about your motivation and goals, what you can bring to Ardonagh Specialty, and answer any immediate questions.

  • If successful, you will generally be invited to engage in a 1-hour interview with the Hiring Manager and selected team members, via teams or in person. We will discuss our technologies, key skills, and team dynamics and provide further opportunity to ask any questions. This is your chance to voice your thoughts on the role and we will outline our expectations and ensure this role aligns with your ambitions for the future.

  • Depending on the role, you may be invited to attend a second stage interview with further members of the team.
