What you will do:

- Manage a caseload of adults with complex multiple pathologies and long-term conditions, delivering impactful interventions.
- Complete detailed and comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments within community settings.
- Assess and prescribe specialist equipment tailored to each individual's needs.
- Recommend and manage non-standard major adaptations to ensure client's environments meet their requirements.
- Prescribe and review highly specialist seating solutions for clients.
- Undertake intricate moving and handling assessments for optimal client safety.
- Conduct capacity assessments and engage in safeguarding processes when needed.
- Offer support to carers through thorough assessment and intervention planning.
- Monitor and allocate incoming cases to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
- Collaborate with a variety of statutory and voluntary agencies to provide holistic care.
- Supervise and mentor Occupational Therapy staff and assistants, fostering a team-driven approach.
- Maintain precise records, reports, and service documentation for accountability and continuity of care.

Requirements:

- BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy or Diploma in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration.
- At least 3 years of experience in Occupational Therapy, specifically within Adult Social Care.
- Proven ability in managing complex Occupational Therapy caseloads, prescribing equipment, and assessing for major adaptations.
- Proficiency in using IT systems like Mosaic and Microsoft 365.
- Ability to supervise and support staff, leveraging your experience to promote development within your team.

Desirable Requirements:

- Experience managing Occupational Therapy teams or working within complex occupational therapy services.
- Experience in project or service development work.
- Experience acting as an equipment authoriser.
