School Administrator - Richmond
We are seeking an organised, professional, and proactive School Administrator to join a busy and welcoming primary school in Richmond, starting as soon as possible. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school’s administrative systems and providing support to staff, pupils, and parents.
The school has a strong ethos of inclusion, high expectations, and pupil wellbeing. Administrative staff are essential to the smooth running of the school, assisting with daily office tasks, maintaining records, and supporting communication between staff, parents, and the wider school community. Senior leadership provides support, guidance, and professional development opportunities for all administrative staff.
As a School Administrator, you will manage the school office, coordinate communications, maintain accurate records, and support the operational needs of the school. Your role will ensure the office runs efficiently and contributes to a positive, organised, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for parents, carers, staff, and visitors
Answer telephone calls, emails, and other correspondence professionally
Maintain accurate pupil records, including attendance and personal information
Assist with admissions, enrolment, and administrative processes
Support teachers and leadership staff with administrative tasks
Organise and coordinate school events, meetings, and communications
Maintain office supplies and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Ensure confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding procedures are followed

Have experience in school or office administration
Be highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks effectively
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems
Be approachable, adaptable, and professional
Show a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
