Private Client Tax Specialist - PE Backed Firm, London, to £90k
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join the growing London office of a highly respected PE backed professional services firm that is redefining what modern private client advisory looks like.
This is a key role for a technically strong and commercially minded tax professional who enjoys working closely with clients, mentoring others and delivering innovative, high-quality advice. You will play a visible role within a dynamic team that combines technical excellence with an entrepreneurial, client-focused approach.
You will take ownership of a diverse and high-value portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, family offices, and business owners, providing expert advice across complex personal tax, wealth structuring, and succession planning matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead or support the delivery of complex personal tax advisory projects, including report writing and client presentations.
* Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple income sources and complex tax affairs, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail.
* Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice.
* Oversee and review UK personal tax compliance work, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Advise on capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts, and broader wealth planning issues.
* Collaborate with Partners and Directors on business development initiatives and strategic growth opportunities.
* Mentor and support junior staff, contributing to technical training and team development.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and client delivery.
Skills and Experience:
* CTA qualified (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience in private client tax within a professional services environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation, with the confidence to manage complex advisory work.
* Proven ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and credibly to non-specialists.
* Experience dealing with HMRC on technical or contentious issues.
* A track record of delivering both compliance and advisory work to a high standard.
* Previous experience supervising and developing junior team members.
* Exposure to UK trusts and estates work would be advantageous.
