Year 4 Teacher | Lambeth | January 2026
Are you an ambitious Year 4 Teacher looking for a stimulating KS2 post starting January 2026? A forward-thinking primary school in Lambeth is recruiting a Year 4 Teacher to join a committed phase team and contribute to high-quality classroom practice.
The Year 4 Teacher will deliver well-planned lessons across English, maths and foundation subjects, using assessment information to set clear next steps and to design effective interventions. The appointed Year 4 Teacher will be part of the Lambeth staff community, take part in collaborative planning sessions, and attend induction activities in the run-up to January 2026 to ensure a confident spring-term start.
This Year 4 Teacher post requires someone who is reflective, data-aware and able to inspire curious learners. The Lambeth school provides strong CPD, a supportive leadership team and opportunities to contribute to curriculum development.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver ambitious Year 4 curriculum sequences that deepen pupils’ conceptual understanding.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching to ensure pupils make consistent gains.
- Lead targeted group work and track the impact of support strategies.
- Work constructively with colleagues to moderate standards and share best practice across the phase.
- Maintain professional communication with families and contribute to whole-school events.
Person specification
- QTS and recent experience teaching in KS2, with evidence of positive impact in Year 4.
- Strong planning, assessment and behaviour management skills.
- Able to contribute to whole-school improvement and collaborative professional learning in Lambeth.
- Available to begin duties January 2026 and to work in Lambeth.
