Housekeeper-Cook in London, Full-time role, Job ID J21B7E

Little Ones UK Ltd
Kingston upon Thames, Greater London

A lovely family based in Kingston upon Thames, London, is seeking a Full-time or Part-time Live-in Housekeeper-Cook to help maintain their home and prepare meals for the family.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of housekeeping experience and will speak fluent English. Someone reliable, organised, flexible, and confident managing both housekeeping and cooking duties would be ideal for this role.

The housekeeper-cook will be responsible for all general housekeeping duties for a 6-bedroom property. The family will be moving to a 7-bedroom new build home in August or September, so someone confident working in a large family home would be suitable.

Duties will include floor care, dusting, polishing, bathroom cleaning, kitchen maintenance, laundry, ironing, bed making, linen changes, and dishware organisation. Cooking for the family will also be required, and someone confident preparing Asian cuisine would be preferred.

No childcare will be required for this role. The family has one 10-year-old King Charles Spaniel with diabetes, so the candidate must be comfortable caring for the dog and giving medication twice daily when working. A driver would be a bonus, but this is not essential.

Working hours: Monday to Saturday, between 30 to 40 hours per week. Morning start around 8:00 and evening finish around 19:00, with a long break during the day. Saturday, 10:00 to 14:00.

Duties include:

  • maintaining a 6-bedroom family home
  • supporting the move into a 7-bedroom new build home
  • sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
  • dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
  • cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
  • cleaning and maintaining the kitchen area
  • washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens
  • managing laundry, including ironing and folding
  • making beds and changing linens as needed
  • cleaning and organising dishware
  • loading and unloading the dishwasher
  • cooking meals for the family
  • preparing Asian cuisine, if possible
  • caring for one King Charles Spaniel
  • giving the dog medication twice daily when working

The family is looking for someone who can start on 3 August 2026.

To learn more about this role, please apply and a consultant will contact you with more information.
