Location: Flexibility to allow home-based, Office-based, or a combination of the two, although regular travel to London and other locations is expected.

About the team Part of their Strategy Enablement Directorate, the Data & Insight Team are delivering high quality data, database management and business insight. Custodians of supporter data for its full life cycle, running through everything they do is a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data quality and embedding a culture of standards, both in terms of compliance and best practice across the department. You will work closely with the wider team including Head of Data and Insight, Data Architects, Data Engineers and Business Intelligence Analysts to help the organisation to achieve its organisational strategy in helping the fight to end homelessness. About the role Insight Analysts play a key role in defending the right to a safe home, they work with complex data and turn it into meaningful insight, trend analysis and forecasting whilst ensuring that the data is accurate and fit for purpose. The Insight Analyst will use reporting and analytic tools such as Microsoft Power BI , Adobe Campaigns and Google Analytics to present insight in a range of formats including Power BI Dashboards & written reports. The Insight Analysts are responsible for improving data collection and use of data to understand the impact of work, they advise on the development and implementation of processes for data extraction, cleansing, analysis and visualisation to help drive learning and reporting. Role Specific Responsibilities • Responsible for the collation and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data from a wide range of sources
• Provide advice on data use and visualisation, supporting colleagues to make the best use of data
• Contribute to the design, development & implementation of processes governing what data is collected, and how it is stored, arranged, integrated, and used
• To produce and effectively communicate insight analysis and provide recommendations as opportunities and risks using an evidenced based approach
• To produce the insight and analysis required to support performance framework
• To generate briefs/ proposals to undertake bespoke analysis to solve specific challenges, hypothesises or research questions
• Develop and maintain data segmentation models based on supporter/client behaviours, geographical demographics and attitudinal data sets
• To work collaboratively across the Data and Insight function and work proactively with stakeholders across the organization proactively seeking opportunities to further integrate data to form valuable insights
• To maintain knowledge of developments in the sector to ensure that approach to insight and analysis reflects best practice and enables us to take advantage of opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement About you • You will have experience of developing data analytics, modelling and insight products
• You will have experience of delivering projects to meet user needs
• You will have strong communication skills including the ability to present written reports, data visualisation and verbal presentations
• You will be experienced in using data analytics tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
• You will have demonstrable experience of creating queries to extract, interrogate or aggregate information from relational databases and an understanding of the underlying logic (e.g., SQL)
