We're looking for an HR Assistant to join our People Operations team. You can be based at one of our offices (York, London, or Swindon), work remotely as a homeworker, or follow a hybrid working arrangement. While this role offers flexibility, occasional travel to the office will be required for team meetings and connecting with colleagues. We're happy to discuss the options in more detail during the interview.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy team environment and is keen to either gain experience across a range of HR-related activities or apply their existing skills within a purpose-driven organisation. You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality service.

In this varied role, you'll work alongside a team of HR Assistants, acting as the first point of contact for employees, volunteers, and managers. You'll provide clear, accurate information and guidance on contracts, policies, and HR and volunteering processes, and triage or escalate more complex queries. You'll play a key role by bridging the gap between the People Operations team and our central HR Shared Services, helping to ensure smooth processing across the employee lifecycle.

To be considered for the role of HR Assistant, you'll need:

- A friendly, solution-focused approach, providing professional support to colleagues

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively

- Strong attention to detail

- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in a busy, geographically dispersed team
