An established, mixed secondary school in Camden is looking to appoint a passionate and committed Teacher of Religious Studies for a permanent position starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Philosophy and Ethics department and teach RE across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a school that values philosophical debate, high standards, and strong relationships with students.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and highly objective lessons that help students build confidence, ethical evaluation skills, textual critique ability, and a deep appreciation of world religions and contemporary ethical dilemmas. The school has a strong commitment to critical thinking and encourages staff to contribute to student forums and wider enrichment opportunities.

The Role:
Teaching Religious Studies across KS3 and KS4
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the UK curriculum
Supporting students of all abilities to achieve strong academic outcomes
Contributing to regional ethics competitions, faith community visits, and extra-curricular activities
Working closely with colleagues within the Humanities faculty
Requirements:
Applicants must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject
Experience teaching RE in a UK secondary school setting up to GCSE level
Strong classroom management skills
The legal right to work in the UK
Salary:
M1 – UPS3 (Inner London Pay Scale)
