Construction Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team and help us continue to deliver outstanding results for our clients. Role Overview: As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial office fit-out projects valued between £1 million and £5 million. You will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring the projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. We are looking for someone with a traditional construction background, who has a deep understanding of project management and experience working on large-scale office fit-out projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, working on a variety of exciting projects for high-profile clients. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead and manage commercial office fit-out projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets. Team Leadership: Supervise and manage on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day site operations, conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, track costs, and report on financial performance to ensure that projects are delivered within budget. Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the project, including schedule delays, safety concerns, and unforeseen costs. Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on project progress, challenges, and milestones. Quality Control: Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with relevant regulations and specifications. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Construction Manager with a focus on commercial office fit-out projects. Experience managing projects with values ranging from £1 million to £5 million. Strong understanding of traditional construction methods and practices. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring attention to detail and quality. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. CSCS card, SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), and relevant qualifications in construction management. Proficient in project management software and MS Office. A commitment to health and safety, with a proactive approach to site safety and risk management. Desirable: Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline. Experience in managing projects within the commercial fit-out sector or similar environments. Familiarity with the latest industry trends and construction technologies.
