Job Summary
The Teaching Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the educational experience for students, particularly those with special needs. This position involves working closely with children, including those with disabilities and autism, to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and committed to helping every student achieve their potential.

We have an urgent need for two Behaviour LSAs to work across the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

About the roles

• Support pupils with SEMH/behavioural needs across primary and secondary settings

• Build trusting relationships and use de-escalation to keep pupils engaged

• Work 1:1 and with small groups to keep learners on track

• Full-time, Monday–Friday, immediate starts available

We’re looking for people who

• Are confident with challenging behaviour and stay calm under pressure

• Can set clear boundaries while remaining patient and positive

• Communicate well with staff, parents, and external professionals

• Have relevant experience (school, youth work, PRU, sports coaching, mentoring, care, etc.)

• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply)
