We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our team. This is a sales management role with primary responsibility for managing a small team to drive business from mostly a corporate sales platform whilst retaining and growing existing C&E accounts. The role will require thorough working knowledge of all key market segments and key clients within these, ensuring conversion rates are optimized and financial targets achieved. The position will be responsible for producing, delivering and managing sales plans to achieve venue sales, KPIs and supporting profitability targets as well as managing and motivating the event planning team members to achieve personal KPIs. The role is a 50:50 split between reactive and proactive sales for the venue.
Key responsibilities:
- Achievement of C&E sales budget
- Ownership of sales and marketing plan for the venue
- Marketing and promotional activities for the venue, ensuring all websites and online directories are consistently updated and to brand standards
- Management and delivery of local corporate account plans (working with BDM team)
- Proactive sales activities for the venue
- Reactive sales activities for the venue including internal client bookings
- Accurate sales reports/forecasts and achievement of venue performance standards
- Management of the onsite C&E sales and events team
- Communication with central sales team and BDMs
Our ideal Sales Manager
- Previous experience within hospitality sales
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Good understanding and working knowledge of sales systems & Microsoft 365
- Managing and developing a team to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
- Commercial awareness and to be able to understand links between sales and profit
