We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Science Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Newham

About the role

This role offers the opportunity to inspire students to think critically about human behaviour, society, and the world around them, while fostering independent learning and curiosity.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and supporting them to achieve their full potential. The role also involves contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and collaboration with colleagues, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Social Science Teacher you will:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS/PGCE) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Psychology and Sociology at KS4 and KS5
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Suitable teaching experience
