The Role

Key Responsibilities
Provide individualised support to pupils with SEN throughout the school day
Implement strategies from EHCPs, behaviour plans, and individual support plans
Support pupils with attention, task completion, and communication
Assist pupils with emotional regulation and behavioural strategies
Adapt classroom resources and learning materials to meet diverse needs
Encourage independence while offering appropriate guidance and reassurance
Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times such as break and lunch
Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing input for reviews and meetings
Some roles may involve personal care or physical support depending on pupil needs. Schools will provide full guidance and training to ensure you are confident and prepared in all aspects of your role.
