The Savills Infrastructure team is a unique team within Savills acting on behalf of infrastructure and utilities clients across the country.

Salary: London: £30,000 and £1,500 sign on bonus / Regions: £27,000 and £1,000 sign on bonus

About this role

Locations available: London, Salisbury, Cirencester, Bury St Edmunds

Operating across a UK network of over 30 offices and a number of client offices from North of Scotland down to Dorset and Kent.

Our services cover land consents, referencing, negotiation, planning, landowner/contractor liaison and damage claim negotiation across the infrastructure and utility sector, including electricity, water, gas and telecoms. The Savills Infrastructure team is a unique team within Savills acting on behalf of infrastructure and utilities clients across the country. There are over 100 staff and 50 consultants within the team which include apprentices, graduates, trainees, non-qualified and qualified personnel.

The Infrastructure Projects team is a single UK department undertaking work in all areas of the country.

Our team within the Bury St Edmunds office specialise work on behalf of utilities firms, including electricity, gas, water and telecoms firms. Within this specific office, the team consists of two graduates and two apprentices, all supported by other experienced team members.

  • As a graduate on the land and resources pathway, no one day is the same.
  • In a typical day, a wayleave/consents graduate could be out walking on project sites, inspecting property and crops, dealing with landowner and tenant negotiations, negotiating Heads of Terms for access agreements, Wayleaves and Easements or desk based producing GIS plans, legal documentation or design solutions.
  • The breadth of experience that Savills graduates obtain is second to none.

Future Talent Objectives

Technical & Professional Knowledge - Demonstrate a strong foundational knowledge and understanding of the profession you are training within, the qualification you are completing, and the role you are undertaking.

  • Enrol and begin active progress towards your qualification, understanding the competencies/KSBs required and maintain an up-to-date record of experience

Training

Our training and development programme is highly regarded as one of the best in the property industry, and is geared towards enabling our graduates to reach their full potential. As a graduate, you'll also have regular opportunities to attend technical, business skills and personal development activities - including conferences, courses, lectures, networking, mock assessments, revision sessions and social events - which compliment both your practical experience and meet the theoretical requirements of We were awarded the Times Graduate Employer of choice for Property for the 20th year consecutively, which highlights our excellent training programme, which is bespoke for each pathway. You will have an APC supervisor and counsellor who support and guide you throughout the two year training programme. They will discuss your training and experience needs at regular progress reviews, ensuring you receive the support you require.

Once you've successfully passed your APC and become a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), you'll continue to receive training and career development opportunities. We ensure that your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is current and that all staff are fully up-to-date with changes to legislation and business needs.
