SEN Teacher - Ealing
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Ealing, starting ASAP. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities, helping them achieve their academic potential and build confidence, resilience, and independence.
The school has a strong inclusive ethos and a well-established SEN provision, supporting pupils with a wide range of needs, including autism spectrum conditions (ASC), ADHD, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and moderate learning difficulties. Staff work collaboratively with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and external professionals to provide targeted interventions and individualised support for pupils.
As an SEN Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess personalised learning programmes, ensuring pupils with additional needs can access the curriculum and make measurable progress. You will provide both academic and social-emotional support, and contribute to creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil feels valued.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
Implement strategies from EHCPs and individual support plans
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress using appropriate tools
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and support staff
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure consistent support
Provide guidance and mentoring to teaching assistants as needed
Maintain accurate records and contribute to SEN reviews and meetings
Promote an inclusive, safe, and nurturing learning environment
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:

Have proven experience teaching pupils with SEN in a school setting
Be knowledgeable about inclusive teaching strategies and interventions
Be patient, empathetic, and resilient
Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
Be proactive, organised, and reflective in practice
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
