Personal Advisor – Leaving Care Unit 8
To have previous work experience with young people aged 18+ and ideally experience of working in a statutory setting. You wil be working with care leavers aged over 18 transferring from the Looked After Children Service, living in Staying Put arrangements, supported semi independent accommodation, university accommodation or supported lodgings. You will hold up to 25 care leavers aged up to 25. Working in a Unit made up of Consultant Social Worker (Manager), 3 social workers and administrator but as part of a larger group made up of 3 Leaving Care Units in total. To ensure Pathway Plans are reviewed every 6 months and to work in partnership with key agencies. Our Virtual School supports Care Leavers up until the age of 25 and we have links with Housing Advice and the Job Centre to ensure care leavers are managing their finances and in suitable accommodation
