Content Creator
The Content Creator supports the end-to-end storytelling that helps shape company culture and drive the values we hold within the ScottishPower Customer Business. They will help tell the ScottishPower Customer Business story - what we represent - in a way that resonates with consumers, employees, and external stakeholders alike. The Content Creator will help implement the social strategy across our Facebook and Instagram channels. This will include the capture, build, and sharing of stories that inspire and excite our audiences; build affinity for ScottishPower and our people, products, and services through storytelling. What you'll be doing
- Work with Content Strategist and teams across the business to communicate initiatives that incorporate the vision, mission, values, and strategic growth priorities of ScottishPower Customer Business.
- Support the translation of brand desire and value propositions into compelling stories - both short and long-form, to tell across paid, earned, shared, and owned channels.
- Support teams with overarching messaging that supports key business units and positions spokespeople as experts.
- Help us to populate our video channels with content unique to each platform.
- Help drive increased awareness of ScottishPower's products and services, as well as improving the related perception of these by consumers/external stakeholders.
- Work closely with the corporate team to ensure consistent messaging.
- Support with reporting to measure our success across social channels.
- Work with customer service agents to approve social comments.
- Contribute to internal communications including plans for communicating company vision, values, and initiatives to employees to foster increased engagement. Experience in content creation/storytelling or similar arena
- Specific experience with channels including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube shorts
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to form effective working relationships. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation and to build relationships and influence across a wide range of stakeholders
- Good understanding of energy industry or of working in a field where complicated processes need to be distilled for an audience
- Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Sound working knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
- Ability to research their related subject matter to deliver compelling content
- Creativity, especially within social content creation
- Collaborative spirit
- Ability to distil complex concepts into content that is easy to consume
- Experience with story structure and storytelling
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with social channels
- Content Marketing Experience, including both earned and paid Minimum Criteria
- Professional experience in content creation
- Storytelling and ability to represent ScottishPower on camera
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management ability
- Project Management skills
