Senior Consultant, Quality Assurance & Test Engineer, Engineering Platforms

The Quality Assurance & Test Engineer ensures that every one of these services is robust, secure, and performs as designed - helping us deliver with confidence and excellence every time., As Deloitte's Engineering Platforms capability continues to expand, we are delivering a growing number of digital products and platform services across our internal and client-facing environments. Ensuring that these solutions are fully tested, resilient, and perform consistently across our NSE member firm network is critical to maintaining trust and delivering value.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end quality assurance and testing of new and enhanced Engineering Platforms services - from planning and test design through to execution, automation, and reporting. You'll work closely with developers, product owners, and service managers to ensure that solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements and are ready for production rollout across Deloitte's complex cloud and application landscape.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role that combines technical testing expertise with strong stakeholder management and an understanding of modern DevOps and CI/CD practices., · Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new services, products, and platform enhancements across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.

· Work with developers and architects to validate functionality, usability, performance, and security of solutions.

· Implement test automation frameworks and scripts where appropriate to increase efficiency and repeatability.

· Conduct regression testing, integration testing, and end-to-end validation prior to service introduction.

· Collaborate with Product and Service Introduction stakeholders to ensure readiness for production deployment.

· Support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with automated test execution and validation checks.

· Perform cross-environment testing to ensure interoperability across the NSE network and Operate business platforms.

· Report and track defects through resolution, ensuring quality gates are met before release.

· Contribute to the development of QA standards, testing documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Advocate for quality and reliability in every stage of the engineering lifecycle.

· Experience in software testing, QA engineering, or quality assurance roles within cloud and full-stack development environments.

· Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery practices.

· Proven ability to design and execute functional, regression, and integration tests.

· Experience with test automation tools or frameworks such as PyTest, Playwright, Selenium or Postman.

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWX) and automated quality gates.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.

· UK residency and ability to obtain government security clearance if required.

Desirables:

· Experience testing applications hosted in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

· Knowledge of API testing, load and performance testing, or non-functional test methodologies.

· Understanding of DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and containerised environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

· Certifications such as ISTQB Foundation / Advanced Level, Certified Tester, or equivalent.

· Experience testing platforms integrated with authentication and security frameworks (e.g., Azure AD, OAuth).

· Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
