About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Painter to join us at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, Assistant director of Engineering, Office Manager or Engineering Supervisor undertake a range of planned and corrective maintenance and decorative duties to ensure that all our back of house areas and public areas, along with guest bedrooms are maintained and presented at the highest standard.
- Maintain hotel joinery, finishes and furnishings to the highest standards with polishing techniques and decoration.
- Undertake projects and completion of painting, wall coverings, silicone works, tiling, French polishing, light carpentry and/or other special repairs works throughout the hotel to ensure that all areas are well maintained and presented.
- Updating the maintenance reporting platform whilst on duty adhering to the system use procedures.
- Undertake regular patrols of the hotel front and back of house to carry out maintenance spotting in order to identify any corrective repair works that need to be carried out decoratively.
- Adhering to all safety processes and procedures at all times
About you:
- Diverse Skilled Work: Perform a variety of tasks including painting, wall coverings, silicone works, tiling, French polishing, and light carpentry.
- Maintain High Standards: Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are presented to luxury hotel standards.
- Preventive & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out planned inspections and respond to emergency repairs efficiently and safely.
- Collaborative & Guest-Facing Role: Work closely with other departments and handle guest maintenance requests professionally.
- Training & Development: Access ongoing training sessions and opportunities for skill enhancement within the engineering team.
