Lead Substance Misuse Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

As Lead Nurse , you will play a key role in managing and guiding a skilled nursing team, while ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.
  • Lead on clinical pathways for individuals accessing addiction support
  • Oversee harm reduction and immunisation programmes
  • Champion nurse-led projects and encourage innovation
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to nursing staff
  • Work closely with NHS colleagues across departments such as A&E, AMU, and Gastroenterology
  • Maintain high standards in line with national policies and guidance

What You’ll Bring:
  • Active NMC registration (RGN or RMN)
  • Experience working as a nurse in a healthcare or social care setting – ideally within substance misuse

  • Strong understanding of the UK Drug Strategy and clinical standards
  • Dedication to delivering outstanding, nurse-led care
