The Role
In this role, you will be teaching Economics exclusively at Key Stage 5 (A-Level and/or IB Diploma) . The department is a hub of intellectual curiosity, and you will be expected to push beyond the constraints of the syllabus, fostering a deep, undergraduate-level understanding of economic theory and global policy.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Pedagogy: Deliver intellectually stimulating lessons on Micro and Macroeconomics, specializing in market structures, game theory, and international trade.
Higher Education Support: Mentor students through the UCAS process, providing guidance on personal statements for competitive Economics and PPE courses at Oxbridge and the Ivy League.
Academic Enrichment: Lead the school’s Economics Society, coordinate guest speakers from the City, and oversee entries for national essay competitions (e.g., the Royal Economic Society).
Small Seminar Teaching: Utilize the school's small class sizes to facilitate high-level debate and critical analysis of current global fiscal and monetary policies.
