Maternity Nurse

Day time support for Twin Baby Girls
Islington, London
Monday-Friday, ideally 10am-4pm, but we can be flexible for the right person
October and November 2026, with potential to extend or become permanent

We are looking for a warm, experienced and highly capable nanny to care for our twin baby girls, born in July 2026.

This is initially a short-term role covering all of October and November, with the possibility of further months being added. Depending on our longer-term plans to stay in London, it could also develop into a permanent position.

We are first-time parents and are looking for someone with excellent newborn and young baby experience. Previous experience with twins or multiples would be a big advantage.

A key priority for us is finding someone who understands infant development week by week and will actively support the girls’ physical, cognitive and social development through age-appropriate activities, rather than simply focusing on feeds and naps.

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Feeding, winding, changing and settling both babies
• Supporting their existing sleep and feeding routines
• Bottle preparation and sterilising
• Tummy time, floor play and developmentally appropriate activities
• Talking, singing, reading and sensory play
• Supporting milestones as they grow
• Taking the girls for walks and, as they get older, suitable local baby groups or activities
• Keeping track of feeds, naps and nappies where needed
• Keeping baby areas, bottles and equipment clean and organised

We are looking for someone who is:

• Warm, affectionate and nurturing
• Calm, patient and sensitive to babies’ cues
• Very confident caring for two young babies at the same time
• Calm under pressure when both babies need attention
• Proactive, organised and reliable
• Safety-conscious and attentive to detail
• Comfortable working collaboratively with parents
• Interested in each twin’s individual personality and development

Requirements:

• Strong professional newborn/baby experience
• Excellent understanding of infant development
• Enhanced DBS
• Current Paediatric First Aid, including infant CPR
• Right to work in the UK
• Excellent checkable references
• Strong knowledge of safe sleep and current infant-safety guidance
• Non-smoker

Ideally: previous twins/multiples experience, newborn or maternity nurse experience, Early Years/childcare qualifications, safeguarding training and/or Ofsted registration.

The role is primarily focused on the babies. However, it would be a real bonus to find someone who is also happy to help with light household tasks during any genuine downtime, for example tidying, light laundry, unloading the dishwasher or keeping shared areas organised.

No driving is required.

Hours: Monday-Friday, ideally 10am-4pm, although we can be flexible for the right person
