Deputy Head of International Pricing

Global insurance business has a newly created role for a Deputy Head of Pricing for their international business. In this role you will drive innovation, shape pricing strategy, and mentor top talent across diverse specialty lines — including Casualty, Marine, Energy and Aviation. You will report into the Head of International Pricing and Business Planning and will lead a small team.

This is more than a technical role — it’s your chance to influence underwriting strategy, steer portfolios, and elevate pricing capabilities across a global platform.

What You’ll Be Doing

Price complex risks that go beyond the model – using smart, practical techniques. Build and improve pricing tools and frameworks that actually get used. Collaborate with underwriters to drive better commercial decisions. Lead portfolio analysis to guide growth, remediation, and capital planning. Coach and mentor a talented team, shaping the next generation of pricing leaders. Promote consistency and best practice across international lines.

What You’ll Bring

Qualified Actuary with 12–15+ years of experience in the London or Lloyd’s Market. Hands-on pricing experience across multiple specialty lines – Marine, Energy, Aviation, Casualty. A commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into decisions. Proven ability to drive change, deliver results, and influence stakeholders . Strong leadership and team development skills . A passion for improvement and making complex things simpler .
