SEN Teaching Assistant - Islington ASAP Start
Are you ready to join a school where every day you see the difference you make? An Outstanding Primary SEN School in Islington is searching for a passionate, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to become part of their dynamic team as soon as possible
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a setting that doesn't just talk about inclusion - it lives and breathes it. Staff here are supported, valued, and given real opportunities to grow. The leadership team is forward-thinking and genuinely cares about every child and every member of staff.
Why this role?
- Full-time, long-term position starting ASAP (running through the whole academic year).
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils aged 3-11 who have autism, speech & language needs, social communication difficulties, and complex learning needs.
- Join a vibrant, creative team where lessons are practical, fun, and rooted in real-life learning.
- Ongoing professional development - from SEN strategies to progression opportunities.
What we're looking for:
- UK classroom experience (SEN background ideal).
- A caring, proactive, and resilient person who can build fantastic relationships.
- Experience or knowledge of PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, or Team Teach would be brilliant (but not essential).
- DBS on the Update Service (or happy to apply).
- Someone who's ready to start immediately and hit the ground running.
This isn't just a job - it's the chance to be part of a school where children are celebrated for who they are, and where you'll leave every day knowing you've made a real difference.
