Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEN
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary Range: £90 - £105 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: ASAP, 8:30 am - 3:45 pm
Contract: Long-term, Full-time

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and ready to make a positive impact? If so, GSL Education are seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant in Tower Hamlets for a long-term, full-time role starting in January 2025.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

* Provide dedicated one-to-one and group support to SEN students, particularly those with ASD.
* Assist in creating and delivering engaging activities tailored to individual student needs.
* Help to implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) effectively.
* Support students' personal care needs, including nappy changing, ensuring dignity and respect.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and adapt teaching strategies.
* Communicate progress and challenges with parents and school staff effectively.

Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:

* Experience working in a primary school setting.
* Strong understanding of ASD and SEN strategies.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting children.
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
