Adaptations Surveyor - Social Housing
Location: Haringey
Contract Type: Temporary Contract
As an Adaptations Surveyor , you'll play a key role in delivering property adaptations that meet the needs of our tenants-primarily older adults and individuals with disabilities. You will assess, design, and manage adaptation works to ensure properties are safe, accessible, and tailored to residents' needs.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake property surveys to assess the feasibility of adaptations, including ramps, level access showers, stairlifts, and kitchen modifications
Prepare specifications, drawings, and cost estimates for adaptation works.
Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), and the Equality Act.
Oversee the delivery of works on-site, ensuring quality, budget, and deadlines are met.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and performance monitoring data.
About You
You'll bring both technical surveying expertise and a strong understanding of the unique needs of residents in social housing.
Essential
Experience delivering or managing adaptation works in residential properties.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in accessible housing design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
A valid UK driving licence
