Finance Assistant to support invoicing, data entry and financial administration
A busy and well-organised secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a Finance Assistant to support its internal finance function. This role would suit a candidate with strong administrative skills and an interest in developing a career within school finance.
Role Overview
Responsibilities include processing invoices, maintaining financial records, logging purchase orders, supporting budget tracking and responding to finance queries from staff and suppliers. Accuracy, organisation and confidentiality are essential.
School Information
This 11–16 school educates around 1,200 pupils and is recognised for its strong operational systems and inclusive ethos. The finance team works closely with HR and leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day school operations.
Support staff describe the environment as friendly, structured and supportive. Training is provided on school finance systems, and leadership encourages staff to develop additional skills over time.
