About the role

We are looking for a Programme Officer to join our Professional Services team, working for the Department of Philosophy within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, at one of the most prestigious universities in the UK.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to anyone who is interested in providing high quality comprehensive support for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

You will act as the first point of contact for students and academic staff, providing a professional, supportive, responsive and personable service. Roles support processes within our main workstreams of Assessment and Award, Programme Planning and Delivery and Student Communications and Knowledge ensuring accurate and timely record management across multiple systems. This would be an ideal role for anyone with a passion for supporting the delivery of excellent education from the heart of London.

This post will be offered on a full-time, indefinite contract.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

1. Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to draft document and correspondence
2. Excellent organisation and time management skills
3. Strong numeracy skills and the ability to analyse complex data, with proficiency in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
4. Methodical, detail oriented and flexible in approach to work, maintaining a high level of accuracy
5. Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner
6. Proactive with the ability to work independently and manage own workload.
7. Ability to build positive working relationships with team members, collaborating effectively to get things done.
8. Curious, customer service oriented, with a commitment to personal accountability and continuous improvement
9. Comfortable with adapting to change, driving own professional development

Desirable criteria

1. Experience in the use of databases, student records systems (such as SITS) and website content management systems
2. Prior experience of working in a customer facing environment
3. Experience of using virtual learning environments
4. Previous experience of working in HE.
