Class Teacher

The successful candidates will demonstrate: • A strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, underpinned by secure subject knowledge and effective pedagogy• Consistently high expectations of pupils’ behaviour, engagement, and achievement, contributing positively to the calm, orderly ethos of the school
• Excellent classroom practice through:
• Carefully sequenced planning that anticipates workload and builds pupils’ knowledge, skills, and understanding over time
• Use of assessment to monitor progress, identify gaps, and adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs
• Preparing pupils confidently and appropriately for statutory and internal assessment
• A flexible and reflective approach, responding effectively to changing priorities and the needs of pupils and the school
• A strong commitment to inclusion, demonstrating an understanding of the needs of pupils with SEND, disadvantaged pupils, and those requiring additional support
• Effective collaboration with parents, carers, support staff, and external professionals to secure the best outcomes for pupils
• The ability to provide clear advice and guidance to pupils and parents on learning, progress, and wellbeing
• An active contribution to curriculum development, ensuring it is ambitious, inclusive, and well-matched to pupils’ needs
• Engagement in school self-evaluation, improvement planning, and review processes to raise standards and improve outcomes
• A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, promoting the health, safety, and welfare of all pupils at all times
