We are recruiting a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a well-resourced school in Brent. The Year 5 Teacher will plan and deliver ambitious sequences across English, maths and foundation subjects, lead targeted interventions to accelerate progress and prepare pupils for upper KS2 expectations. This Year 5 Teacher vacancy begins January 2026, with induction and handover scheduled before January 2026 so the Year 5 Teacher can start the spring term ready.

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Main duties
Teach sequenced Year 5 lessons that deepen subject knowledge and reasoning.
Lead booster groups and run focused small-group tuition to close attainment gaps.
Use assessment to identify priorities and to inform next-step planning across Year 5.
Contribute to phase moderation, curriculum development and enrichment activities in Brent.
Communicate outcomes with parents and support transition planning into Year 6.
Person specification
Qualified teacher with proven upper-KS2 experience and strong Year 5 classroom impact.
Excellent planning, assessment and behaviour-management skills; collaborative and reflective.
Available to commence January 2026 and to attend induction and handover before January 2026.
