About the role.

We're looking for an experienced Welder/ Site services Fabricator, where the broad purpose of the role is to maintain site services to optimise production levels.

What we do.

This particular role is at our Bakkavor Meals site in Park Royal - West London. Split across 3 factories and 1 distribution centre. The factories make chilled ready meals, houmous dips, deli products & savoury accompaniments and employs over 2,000 people

Role Accountabilities:

• Prepare for estate maintenance work
• Conduct planned maintenance of site services assets
• Conduct pro-active maintenance of site services assets (condition-based monitoring). Conduct pro-active maintenance of site services assets (condition-based monitoring
• Respond to breakdowns of site services assets. Conduct reactive maintenance or corrective actions to resolve deviation
• Identify faults (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatics) on site services assets, action as required.
• Manufacture and repair component parts for site services assets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise site services assets or processes. For example, participate in failure investigations to ensure process effectiveness and to contribute to and implement practical engineering solutions for efficiency and profitability

About you.

• Completed engineering apprenticeship (NVQ level 3 / 4 or city & guilds).
• MMA, TIG, MIG qualified
• Create and interpret engineering drawings; technical / manufacturing.

• Metal forming techniques
• Planning works and writing reports
• Comply with safety regulations and procedures
• Restore assets after works.
• Mechanical principals, F&D assets, welding
• Spare parts management.
