School Administrator / Receptionist - Islington

The Role

Remedy Recruitment are seeking a confident and experienced School Administrator/Receptionist to join a welcoming and supportive school in Islington. This is a busy front-office role that requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

As the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, you will play a vital role in representing the school with professionalism and care, while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

Key Responsibilities

Managing reception duties: greeting visitors, answering calls, and handling enquiries.

Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Headteacher and leadership team.

Maintaining and updating accurate pupil records on school systems.

Supporting with admissions, attendance, and reporting.

Handling correspondence, filing, and general office management.

Ensuring safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection policies are followed.

Requirements

Essential: Previous experience working in a school office/administrative role.

Strong working knowledge of school MIS systems (SIMS/Arbor or similar).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.

Highly organised, efficient, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.

Professional, approachable, and discreet, with a strong team ethic.
