EA & Office Manager (3 days a week)
About Fussy
Hey, good smelling! We’re Fussy… about everything - from our natural deodorants to our mission to banish single-use plastic from your bathroom. Having experienced exceptional growth over the past four years, we’re now looking for a brilliant EA & Office Manager 3 days per week to keep us running smoothly, connected and having fun along the way 💪🌍
You’ll report initially to Matt Kennedy (Founder & CEO), working closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to make sure our office, operations and socials are as slick as our pits smell.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, purpose-driven scale-up through a major period of growth. You’ll be a trusted partner to the leadership team and a driving force behind our culture, helping Fussy stay connected, efficient and full of energy as we scale.
About the role
Be the go-to support for our Executive team: managing diaries, travel, meeting prep and ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
Keep the Fussy HQ running beautifully: from snacks to health & safety, you’ll make sure the office is organised, functional and aligned with our sustainability goals.
Create a scalable plan for our office space as we grow including project managing seating plan changes, office refurbs and future office moves
Support key meetings and governance: monthly investors updates, logistics, agendas, minutes, follow-ups and offsite planning.
Lead our social & engagement agenda alongside our social committee: The Fusschief Makers, from fortnightly Thirsty Thursdays and quarterly celebrations to our annual Fussy Gives Back day, ensuring our culture stays inclusive, creative and unmistakably Fussy.
Partner with the People team to embed rituals that make work feel good, like Better Breakfasts, lunch & learns, birthdays, show & tells...
Manage the social and office budgets, track spend and make sure every penny delivers joy and impact.
Help us grow sustainably by improving processes, driving efficiency and championing our B Corp commitment s.
About you
Great comes in lots of different forms, and we’re really open to seeing candidates from a range of backgrounds. Given the nature of this role and what we’ll ask of you, we do believe that the following skills are needed to be able to deliver to a high standard:
Circa 3-4 years’ experience in an Executive Assistant or Office Management role, ideally in a growing, fast-paced company.
Exceptional organisational skills - you anticipate needs before others do and thrive on making things happen.
Strong communication and people skills - you love connecting, problem-solving and keeping the team buzzing.
Comfortable juggling diaries, deadlines and decorations (sometimes all in the same hour).
A creative streak and enthusiasm for socials - you know how to make gatherings fun and inclusive.
A positive, flexible, can-do attitude - you roll up your sleeves and make stuff happen.
And anyone who has these skills too would likely be a super fit for this role, but these are by no means essential:
Experience in a B Corp or social enterprise
Event planning or budget management experience
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack and Notion
This isn’t the right role for you if…
You’d rather focus on strategy than rolling your sleeves up and making things happen
You prefer to work solo, this role thrives on collaboration and connection
You don’t enjoy fast-paced, ever-evolving environments - this is start-up life, after all!
What we offer 🤝
A chance to play a part in banishing single-use plastic from the bathroom
A salary of £38-48,000, depending on experience and pro-rated based on 3 days per week.
Working pattern is Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in our East London HQ at Zetland House
Pro-rata 33 days annual leave, including flexible bank holidays + a day off for your birthday – we encourage you to take time off to switch off, rest and recharge.
Our WellHub membership with a range of fitness & wellbeing options - we care about our team’s wellness, from physical to mental health
Share options after probation, so that you can benefit from our growth
Who we are 💪🌍
Fussy are on a mission to banish single-use plastic from the bathroom by designing simple, effective and convenient personal care products that are backed by science not buzzwords. We have put in place the foundations of a world-class team of employees and advisors and this is a super exciting time to join as we are now looking to accelerate our growth into new products and territories. We as a brand have the responsibility, consumers have the power and it’s only together we can do this. Power to your pits!
