The Role – Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
- Full-time, long-term role starting this September
- Work 1:1 and with small groups of students with complex needs
- Support pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
- Assist with daily routines and provide tailored learning support
- Collaborate with SEN teachers, therapists, and specialist staff on individual support plans
- Gain hands-on experience with therapeutic approaches, interventions, and EHCP processes
Person Specification
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject)
- Previous experience supporting young people with SEN (e.g. school, tutoring, youth work, or care) is desirable
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient with a calm, proactive approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in SEN, mental health, and child development
