Salary - £37,000 - £45,000 per annum

About Us:

We’re Company of Cooks , and together with Angela Hartnett, we’ve created something truly special on the fifth floor of the Royal Opera House . Cicoria is a celebration of ingredient-led, seasonal Italian-inspired food served all day on a beautiful rooftop terrace overlooking Covent Garden Piazza.

With a menu curated by one of the UK’s most respected chefs, we deliver a refined yet welcoming dining experience rooted in quality, simplicity, and soul. Now, we’re looking for a talented Junior Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen brigade and elevate every plate that leaves our pass.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
  • Lead and inspire the team during service, maintaining calm and quality under pressure
  • Take responsibility for maintaining high standards across all sections
  • Ensure dishes are consistently prepared and presented to spec
  • Assist with rota management, stock control, and ordering
  • Train and mentor junior team members to promote growth and efficiency
  • Uphold food hygiene, safety, and allergen standards at all times
  • Contribute to menu development, bringing ideas and creativity to seasonal specials
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up
  • Confidence in leading a section and supporting the wider kitchen team
  • A strong knowledge of Italian cuisine is highly desirable
  • Passion for high-quality, seasonal ingredients and modern cooking techniques
  • A team player with excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Committed to maintaining a clean, organised, and disciplined kitchen environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and across a full-time rota
  • Right to work in the UK
