Clinician Strategy & Operations Manager (FTC)

This role supports the Clinician Supply & Operations teams in planning and delivering on key strategic priorities and operational improvements. The successful candidate will lead key strategic initiatives, use data and analysis to identify risks and opportunities, and generate insights that support decision-making. Working across teams, they will help solve operational challenges and turn strategic priorities into measurable results.

This role is a fixed term contract, covering a period of maternity leave.

• Support the development and execution of the Clinician Supply & Operations strategy, ensuring priorities are aligned to wider business objectives and growth plans

• Lead strategic projects and workstreams from problem definition through to implementation, coordinating stakeholders and tracking delivery against agreed outcomes

• Conduct detailed analysis of operational performance, identifying trends, root causes, risks and opportunities across clinician supply, workforce operations and related functions

• Develop business cases, recommendations and action plans to support operational improvements, investment decisions and strategic initiatives

• Support the Director of Clinician Supply & Operations with annual planning, forecasting, goal-setting and executive reporting requirements

• Support Workforce Planning team in creation and maintenance of key dashboards and KPI reporting that provides visibility of operational health and progress

• Proactively investigate areas of concern or risks within the business, using data and stakeholder engagement to identify underlying issues and recommend corrective actions

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, quality and operational effectiveness

• Support the preparation of board, executive and leadership materials, ensuring strategic decisions are underpinned by robust analysis and clear recommendations

• Establish structured approaches to tracking benefits realisation and measuring the impact of strategic initiatives

• Act as a strategic partner to leaders across the business, helping translate complex data and operational challenges into actionable plans

• Manage the Data Analysts in the Workforce Planning function, driving high performance and continuous improvement to our data capabilities

• Key operational risks, bottlenecks and performance opportunities are identified and addressed through data-driven analysis and actionable recommendations

• Strategic projects are delivered successfully and within a clear framework, achieving agreed business outcomes within expected timelines

• Senior stakeholders have access to high-quality reporting, insight and recommendations that improve decision-making and prioritisation

• Operational performance dashboards and KPIs are embedded and regularly used to monitor business health and drive accountability

• Continuous improvement initiatives deliver measurable gains in efficiency, service performance, utilisation or commercial outcomes

• Strong cross-functional relationships are established, enabling effective collaboration and delivery across departments

• The Clinician Supply & Operations senior team is supported by timely, accurate and actionable strategic insight, improving planning and execution across the function

Skills and Abilities

• Significant experience in strategy, operations, consulting, business performance or a similar analytical role

• Strong problem-solving capability, with experience structuring complex issues and developing practical solutions

• Advanced analytical skills, including experience working with large datasets and translating insight into recommendations

• Experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders

• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand the operational and financial implications of decisions

• Experience creating executive-level presentations, reporting and business cases

• Experience working closely with operational teams to identify and implement improvements

• Experience partnering with Product, Technology and Data teams to deliver workforce tooling and automation

• Experience working in fast-paced, scaling companies

• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, life sciences or similar) desirable
