3-month interim contract
Local Authority – London
£280 per day Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Hybrid working, mandatory 2-3 days p/week on site

Baltimore Consulting are seeking two experienced SEND Case Officers to join a London based Local Authority on an interim basis. The successful candidates will manage a full SEND casework load, overseeing statutory and annual reviews for children and young people aged 0–25.
Your Role as the SEND Case Officer:
- Manage a caseload of up to 175 children and young people with SEND.
- Oversee the end-to-end casework process, including statutory assessments, annual reviews, and amendments to EHCPs.
- Liaise effectively with schools, families, and multi-agency professionals to ensure positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice (0–25 years) and local authority policies.
- Play a vital role in ensuring compliance with statutory timescales and that Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are of high quality, accurately reflecting the needs and aspirations of the young people you support.
- Prepare and present reports for decision-making panels where required.
- Contribute to service improvements and ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-centred casework.
Your Previous Experience as a SEND Case Officer:
- Proven experience as a SEND Case Officer within a local authority setting.
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (0–25).
- Experience managing a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent communication and partnership working skills.
- Ability to work to statutory deadlines under pressure.
- Must be able to work on site as required.
