Humanities teacher

Pay: £220 - £250 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start: ASAP / January Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated and motivated SEN Humanities Teacher to join a supportive SEN school catering for pupils aged 11 to 17. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging Humanities lessons within a nurturing, structured and inclusive environment. The school supports students with a range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, communication difficulties and mild to moderate learning needs. They are looking for a teacher who can deliver creative, differentiated lessons across KS3 and KS4 Humanities, and who can build strong relationships with pupils to support both academic and personal growth. The role: Teach Humanities across KS3 and KS4 to students aged 11-17 Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs Work closely with support staff to ensure pupils remain engaged and supported Create a positive, safe and structured learning environment Track pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and confidence building Contribute to the wider school community and pastoral support The ideal candidate: QTS or QTLS with strong subject knowledge in Humanities Experience working in an SEN or alternative provision setting is highly desirable Confident differentiating work for a range of learning abilities Patient, resilient and consistent in approach Ability to form positive relationships with pupils who may present with additional needs Strong communication and teamwork skills Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive SEN school where staff are valued and pupils thrive with the right guidance.
