THE ROLE & WHY IT EXISTS
Gravitee.io is taking APIs to the next level — we are the premier, open source API platform and we want everyone to know how amazing our software is. To make this happen, we are looking for someone passionate, curious and ambitious. This is where you come in.
As a Platform Engineer , you’ll be a key member of our Platform Team, responsible for ensuring Gravitee’s products are best-in-class, not just in features, but also in reliability, scalability, and performance.
You’ll build and deliver production-ready, Kubernetes-based environments for enterprise customers, contribute to Gravitee’s NextGen Cloud infrastructure, and occasionally step in to provide deep technical support for clients.
This is a hands-on, critical, and highly technical role, perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving, collaboration, and delivering exceptional experiences for both customers and colleagues.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Your daily to-do list will feature some or all of the following, but is not limited to:
- Build and deliver secure, scalable environments (POCs and production-ready) on Kubernetes.
- Support our customers by investigating and resolving technical issues with precision and care.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain new features and infrastructure.
- Contribute to Gravitee’s NextGen Cloud platform and its evolution.
- Share knowledge through internal TechTalks, documentation, and mentoring.
- Drive innovation in processes and tools to continuously improve platform reliability and customer experience.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS The right candidate will possess at least the following skills, if not more:
- Kubernetes (cluster creation & management)
- Docker
- Terraform
- Helm Charts
- Cloud experience (AWS and/or Azure)
- Argo Workflows & ArgoCD
Even better if you also have skills across:
- Certificate management (ZeroSSL, Let’s Encrypt)
- Continuous Delivery tooling
- Observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
ESSENTIAL SKILLS The right candidate will possess at least the following skills, if not more:
- 3+ years of professional experience in infrastructure management
- Fluent with creating and managing Kubernetes clusters and Helm based deployments
- Strong believer in infrastructure as code and deployment automation.
- You like sharing knowledge and continuous learning is important to you
- Curious and eager to contribute to all aspects of a project: CI/CD, dependency management, vulnerability management.
- A patient, resilient problem solver with sharp attention to detail.
- Collaborative, communicative, and committed to sharing knowledge and learning continuously.
