PE Teacher (Boys) - Barnet | Independent Senior School
We are working with a prestigious independent school in Barnet recruiting for a Teacher of Boys' PE. This is an opportunity to join a high-profile department known for its sporting excellence and competitive success.
The Role You will teach Physical Education across the secondary age range, focusing on the development of both elite performance and inclusive participation within the boys' sporting programme.
Start Date: ASAP (Full-time, Permanent)
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering practical PE lessons and GCSE/A-Level PE theory to boys' cohorts
Leading and coaching school teams in Rugby, Football, Cricket, and Athletics
Coordinating a busy fixtures calendar, including mid-week and occasional Saturday matches
Managing the school’s strength and conditioning programmes within the fitness suite
Promoting a culture of sportsmanship, resilience, and teamwork

What the School Is Looking For
QTS and a specialist degree in Physical Education or a related field
Proven experience in coaching Rugby or Cricket at a competitive level
Strong classroom management and the ability to deliver rigorous academic PE
